What Makes an Aircon Leak Water

Condensate line blockage

Dirty filters and coil

Frozen evaporator coil

Poor installation tilt

What you get

Checks You Can Safely Do First

Check the filter

Pull it out and look for grey matting. A blocked filter is the cheapest fix on this list.

Look at the drip point

Water from the front of the indoor unit points to the pan or condensate line. Water from the outdoor pipework can be normal condensate.

Give it time

If the coil was frozen, leave the unit off for a few hours and see whether it leaks again on restart.
